When you book a stay at the Beach Retreats, you can feel assured that we have carefully considered all aspects of the current pandemic. We've made stays at the Beach Retreats contactless, so you can check-in to your private home in Woolacombe with peace of mind.
Our team will keep you updated on any changes that may apply to your stay as government guidelines adapt over the coming months. Where possible, we are happy to help reschedule your stay to different dates, should you need to following travel restrictions or a local lockdown. Please feel assured: we are dedicated to ensuring you have the time and space to be at your happiest on the coast.

Our beachside homes are open and ready to welcome you. Once again you can book your adventure to the North Devon coast, to feel the wind in your hair, the cool saltwater on your skin, the sand between your toes...our diaries are open and we are accepting new bookings.

Our lovely team are available by email: beachretreats@woolacombe-bay-hotel.co.uk, and by phone from 9am - 5pm daily. We are a small team and we are currently working very hard to help everybody book; thank you for your patience and support during this unusual time.

We have created our own bespoke Beach Retreats roadmap - so we all know what to expect and our part to play. We want you to have complete confidence in our high standards of cleanliness and procedures when you stay with us. From booking your stay to leaving home, traveling to Woolacombe, arrival and departure, this is your guide.

This roadmap is a checklist of sorts, for both you and us - so you know all about the steps we are taking. It's not exhaustive, but it's a very good place to start if you are planning a stay or have one booked.

What's included in my stay?We provide all bedding and bed linen, one bath towel per person, tea towels and a dishcloth. There is onsite parking for one vehicle per Beach Retreat.

How does check-in and check-out work?Your Beach Retreat will be available from 4pm on the day of arrival and check-out is by 9am on the day of departure. A member of our Reception Team will meet you at our main hotel gates and give you directions to finding your Beach Retreat.

Where are the Beach Retreats located?The Beach Retreats are located within the heart of Woolacombe village, about 300 yards away from the Woolacombe Bay Hotel. They are just a few minutes walk from the sands of Woolacombe Beach - the walk back from the beach is uphill, but isn’t too punishing. Click here for further location details...

Do we have to pay a deposit to book?Yes, a deposit of £150 is required to book your Beach Retreat accommodation, with full payment taken 7 weeks before arrival. Should you wish to book an arrival date within the next 7 weeks, full payment will be taken at the time of booking.

What if I need to cancel my booking?If you have booked to stay in the self-catering Beach Retreats and decide to cancel, your deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel less than 7 weeks before your arrival date, full payment will be retained.

Are the Beach Retreats dog friendly?Yes, dogs are welcome to stay with you in any ground floor self-catering Beach Retreat. A charge of £50 per week for up to two dogs applies. Please be sure to pack your dog's favourite bed and bowl. Is there a minimum length of stay?There is a 7 night minimum stay for all Beach Retreats unless otherwise stated in a promotional package or seasonal offer.

Are families welcome at the Beach Retreats?The Beach Retreats offer space for up to 6 people (first floor) and 4 people (ground floor) and have space for cots which can be provided for you. Please call us on 01271 870388 for advice; we’re here to help you find the best family-friendly accommodation for your dynamic. If requested when booking, a cot and/or high chair can be provided in all Beach Retreats. Cots are supplied including linen.

Can we smoke in the Beach Retreats?No, all Beach Retreats are smoke-free zones. We ask all of our Beach Retreat guests to be mindful of other guests at all times and we reserve the right to request guests to stop smoking for the comfort and health of all guests.

Do the Beach Retreats have sea views?Some of the first-floor Beach Retreats offer far-reaching views down towards the sea over the village of Woolacombe. Perfect for sunsets. Please call us on 01271 870388 before booking if you have specific accommodation requirements.
