It's also where you'll enjoy some downtime when you want a chilled day by the outdoor swimming pool with the chance to put your feet up.
Privately-managed, the Beach Retreats are a little cluster of self-catering apartments, specially designed for family holidays in North Devon. Sleeping 4-6 guests, they have 2 bedrooms and either a family bathroom (Beach Retreat Flats) or a family bathroom plus an extra shower room (Beach Retreat Apartments). They each have a spacious open-plan family lounge-diner and kitchen as well as either a large balcony or spacious patio. Layouts vary - some of our self-catering accommodation has bunks in the Master Bedroom enabling these homes to sleep up to 6 guests.

Perfect for little legs (and short attention spans!) all our family holiday apartments and flats are less than 5 minutes' walk from Woolacombe beach. When you stay with us your family break in the Beach Retreats will include:
We provide all bedding and bed linen, one bath towel per person, tea towels and a dishcloth. A hairdryer, small iron and ironing board are also provided. The beauty of family holidays in North Devon is the mind-boggling array of things to do. For all ages and interests there is something they will love. Just a flip and a flop from your family holiday apartment is Woolacombe Beach. Home to three miles of sandy goodness, it has surf-perfect waves, cute beach huts and lifeguards from mid-June to the end of November. You can leave your car at your apartment, so there's no need to worry about parking or sandy car syndrome!
Spend days enjoying sandy scavenger hunts, foraging for shells and hunting for rockpool treasures. On rainy days, hit the waves - you're going to get wet anyway, so why not? Woolacombe has a thriving surf community so it's not unusual to follow a pod of surfers as they plod barefoot back from the beach, boards tucked under their arms, reminiscing about the ones that got away!
