NORTH DEVON WALKING GUIDE

SOME OF THE BEST WALKING ROUTES IN THE UK

The South West Coast Path is a 630 mile adventure along the coast line of England's south west peninsula. It’s a place for life’s adventurers, one for the discoverers, the boundary pushers and the bucket listers. Walking the entire path will take around 56 days, but it’s easy to dip in and hike shorter stretches.

Devon, and especially North Devon, is blessed with some of the most dramatic clifftop climbs you'll find. Take Valley of The Rocks, for example. This U-shaped dry valley that runs parallel to the sea not only boasts magical views, but it's also home to the bravest flock of feral goats around. With two National Parks - Exmoor and Dartmoor - there is plenty to explore.

Avoid the summer crowds and discover North Devon at its most golden with our Autumn & Winter walking breaks - book your North Devon walking holiday now from just £240 for three nights.

Beginning in the pretty harbour town of Ilfracombe, this walk features some of the finest coastal scenery anywhere. A handy bus-walk, you'll love the brooding rocks of Morte Point and the zig-zag walk to the top of Ilfracombe Torrs - carved into the rock face by the Victorians.
